I stand out
in a yellow thunderstorm
under downpour
clouds descending
I feel loss
this feeling
of departure
between them and I
I also feel
this rage
twisting in the
separation
of air
of water
of the striking bolts
from the elements I once cherished
and metabolized
in gentle exchange
anger as the thunder
to movements of sorrow
lightning as this
cracking pain
sorrow as lengths
of longing
to what once was
grief
the streams of love
for what was lost
As my love grows near,
groveling in descent,
my body receives
the healing
of feeling
a feeling of the absence
of that familiar other
a hole
of wholeness
now fully home
within
I find solace
coming home
even in a
un-physical presence
still I linger
in touching
the relationship
roused by aromas of petrichor,
geosin,
and that earthy praise
of raining
of sorrow
of weeping
Stepping out
as this rain,
torrential,
I wonder how
tears
can be both hurting
and renewing
how being torn,
strings plucked
in staccato,
can be this divine separation
of drum and chorus
where I can be
this Arachnid
of web,
tending to what
was lost
in
my relationship
with her
For I guess,
only the rains of love
can bring this dew
of reflection
and mirrorment
where waters
allow myself
to see more
clearly
only in relationship
I can see the love of rain
of storm
and the reflection of dew
passing thresholds and in transitions
when I bear
full withness
to another's beauty
As my love reflects in her presence
even in this manifestation of loss
